Offers of reduced pricing because the contractor is in the neighborhood for a limited time only
“Percentage off” reductions in pricing without stating what the original price is
No street address or published company name, just a post office box or cellular number

The short answer is Yes!! Ask your contractor if he/she is licensed. If your project will be a permit job, you are all set – the City or Township will verify their license. If it will not be a permit job, you can verify their license by calling the state.
